What Students say about our college?

"First of all I thank God for giving me the opportunity to journey in MCT for my theological studies. I Have a lot of good experiences in MCT. I learned how to preach the word of God in different cultures, and also developed my Spiritual life, and developed a closer relationship with God. The academic life in MCT was totally new for me when compared with the secular academics. Though I have struggled at the beginning I could able to cope up with the academics with the sincere help of my teachers and also my classmates and friends. We were exposed to critical observation of social injustice that was happening in the society. And encouraged to keep up with the latest information which inform us of what’s happening in Indian and around the globe, by reading newspapers, reading news article, news and social media etc."

"My journey in MCT is filled with a lot of lessons and memories. My theological journey started with MCT. The day I entered MCT, I didn't have any knowledge about theological studies. I didn't know what I was going to learn and how it was helpful In ministry. I joined with zero knowledge. After coming here, the day-to-day life in MCT moulded me and made me read the Bible or understand the Bible from different perspectives. This journey has broadened my understanding of God and His word. I developed my preaching skills based on the context of the text. This journey has strengthened me both spiritually and emotionally. The campus life in MCT never let us down. I made friends from different backgrounds and contexts. This journey made me understand people and taught me how to deal with the people....."

"It was a great Journey of 5 years being a part of the family of Master’s College of Theology. My journey in MCT is filled with lot of memories, experiences, hard situations. MCT has been a great theological college in all aspects, academics, hostel, library, spiritual formation. It is my first time being in hostel. Even though in I struggled to adapt the hostel life at first, later hostel life became an important learning platform in my theological life. Having friends from diverse languages helped me to learn things from each and every person. More importantly hostel helped me to communicate with others openly. The academic life in MCT was totally new for me when compared with the secular academics. The efforts of teachers in teaching, training, encouraging and moulding us helped a lot to understand and equip the theological knowledge."

"My Joining in Master’s College of Theology have shaped my Life in various ways. Primarily my understanding of Bible College was very little and I thought it’s focus will be completely on Bible related things. But after joining and continuing I came to understand that in order to be in ministry i need to know society and it’s context, psychology of the people etc. As the college focuses mainly on three things One is Academic, Spiritual and Practical. In Academia I had learned  to understand scripture from various context and perspectives. Academics gave exposure to think more widely about various issues prevalent in the society by examining it and finding possible outcomes. In academics we been exposed to Biblical, Theological, Pastoral Counselling, Mission and Evangelism. Which dealt with the Biblical and Doctrinal knowledge, by teaching pastoral and missional approach....."

"My Journey in Master’s College of Theology have been a time of learning and unlearning coupled with spiritual insights to which I have never been exposed. The College is vibrant with students from all over India, who speak different languages, and have diverse cultural backgrounds. It is lively and at the same time peaceful. The academic life was systematic and disciplined and the efforts of our teachers inspired us to go the extra mile to ensure that we focus on quality of our work rather just simply reproducing bulk of material. The library is very resourceful and we could able to access a great number of books, journals and article to study, prepare assignments and do research papers. Spiritual formation of the students was taken seriously so attending the morning Chapel devotions and Evening Vespers were must for all students."

"The community at MCT—students, faculty, and the other staff—was the best part of the experience for me. Everyone are indeed rooting to succeed in every aspect of my life. There’s the spiritual and biblical foundation that drives everything that we do. Classes and the teachings helped me to deepen my spiritual practices and helped me to understand and discuss biblical doctrines. Further, many of the classes challenge previously held beliefs and views of mine, but I have found that I emerged stronger in my faith as a result. What I appreciated most about MCT was the space to rethink the fundamentals of Bible, which have been shaped sometimes more by culture than by the scriptures. Any theological experience should not just confirm, but challenge, and this has offered just such a “wrestling” arena. The assistance of faculty, handful of knowledge in library, spacious campus ."

"My Theological journey started in the year 2015, being a tribal boy I was never exposed to outer culture and people, it was for the first time I came out from my homeland in search of God's knowledge but I was fortunate to join MCT, I was privileged to meet people belonging to a different community with a distinct culture and language these broaden my perspectives and introduced me the delightful journey ahead of me. It has been 6-7 years that I have been away from MCT, yet every time I recall the days I spent at MCT.  The college is not solely about educating the student but it is furthermore about the holistic development of every student and also it advocates communitarianism and progressivism within the MCT family. It has one of the best libraries, the college has a good infrastructure, and the teachers are well qualified and thoughtful."

"One of the Chinese Proverb says, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." My first step into Theological education started at Masters College of Theology (MCT) in the year 2014. I’ve completed B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering and selected to work at an MNC with a handsome package offer, but felt God’s call and reciprocated to it. Being suggested by a pastor joined at MCT. Along with theological training, I got opportunity to take part at different platforms. I was sent to SCMI programs which helped me not only spiritually but also socially. I got to travel to different places and was elected as national executive member of SCMI and also as the executive secretary of Andhra Pradesh &Telengana which helped me to practice what I learnt between the four walls. MCT has brought out many of my hidden talents which God has bestowed in me."
